Moving Muscle Helper Privacy Notice

Effective date: August 21, 2026 Last updated: August 21, 2026

1. Who we are

Moving Muscle LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, operates the Moving Muscle platform and the Moving Muscle helper app. We operate in the United States only.

You can reach us about anything in this notice at admin@getmovingmuscle.com.

2. Who this notice is for

This notice is for moving helpers: the independent contractors who claim and work jobs through the Moving Muscle app. It explains what we collect from you, why we have it, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

It covers the helper app, the application you send before you join, and the operations tools our team uses to run jobs.

Customers who book a move, and visitors to our website, are covered by a separate notice. Your information and theirs are different in kind, so they are described in different documents rather than blended into one.

3. The short version

This summary is here to be useful, not to replace what follows.

4.3 What you gave us before you joined

When you applied, we kept your name, email address, phone number and city, together with notes from your screening conversation and a record of who cleared you and when. We keep that because who approved a helper, and on what basis, is a question that gets asked long afterwards.

5. Location

Location is the most sensitive thing we handle, so here is exactly how it works.

The app uses your location only while a job is active, from the moment you mark that you are on your way until the job is complete.

During that window it keeps sharing your location even when Moving Muscle is not the app on your screen, including while you are driving with your own map app open or while your phone is locked. That is deliberate, and it is the only way both things can be true at once: you use whatever navigation you prefer, and your customer and your crew can still see you coming. Your phone shows its own indicator the whole time this is happening.

It stops when the job ends. We do not collect your location between jobs, and we never collect it when you are not working. There is no way for us to turn it on outside an active job.

While a job runs we store one current position for you on that job, and each new reading replaces the last one. We do not build a record of where you travelled. That position is visible to the customer on their tracking page and to the crew working with you. Nobody else sees it. When the job ends, the position is deleted.

A job runs on live tracking, because your customer was promised they could watch their move arrive. So while location is switched off, a job cannot be started. Nothing else changes: your account, your history and your earnings are untouched, and you can turn it back on in your device settings whenever you like.

You can refuse the permission, or withdraw it later, and we never collect anything outside an active job either way.

6. Payments and tax information

Payouts run through Branch. You set up your payout profile directly with Branch, and Branch collects what United States law requires in order to pay an independent contractor, including your Social Security number or taxpayer identification number and your bank or wallet details.

That information goes to Branch, not to us. What we store is the identifier Branch gives us and whether your payout profile is active. We do not collect or store your Social Security number, your date of birth, or your bank account details.

We keep our own record of what you earned: the jobs, the amounts, the tips, any adjustment, and which payout covered them.

7. How we screen

Before you join, someone from our team has a conversation with you. That call is the screening: we talk about your experience, how you work, and what the job asks of you.

What we keep from it is the notes taken during the conversation, and a record of who cleared you and when.

We do not obtain a background report about you from a screening company, and we do not order credit, criminal or driving records. If that ever changes we will tell you first, and it would come with its own separate written disclosure and your written permission, because the law that governs those reports requires it.

8. Messages, calls and notifications

Messages on a job. Messages between you, your crew and the customer are stored with that job and are visible to everyone working it. Our operations team can read them, because support tickets and damage claims are worked from the same record. We do that to settle disputes and to keep people safe, not to look over your shoulder.

Calls with our support line. Calls to and from our support line are handled by AirCall. Those calls are recorded and, where available, transcribed, and the recording and transcript are kept on the support record for that job or ticket. In states that require it, we announce the recording at the start of the call.

Text messages. We text you about a job you are working, and we send a verification code when you confirm your phone number on your account. These are service messages about work you asked for. We do not send you marketing texts. You can stop job texts by replying STOP.

Push notifications. The app sends notifications about job offers, matches, messages and payouts. You can turn them off in your device settings. Job offers reach you this way, so turning them off changes how work finds you.

9. Photographs

You take photographs on a job to record the condition of items, damage found on arrival, and the state of a loaded truck. You can also photograph your own equipment for your kit.

Photographs are stored in our file storage and served through links that expire. Depending on how a photograph is marked, it may be visible to the customer on that job, to your crew, and to our operations team. Job photographs are kept because they are the evidence that settles a damage claim.

The app asks for camera and photo library access only when you use those features, and only for the photograph you choose to send.

10. Who else sees your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Our application, database and file storage run on cloud infrastructure providers located in the United States, and our email is delivered by a transactional email provider. Some companies are worth naming, because knowing who they are tells you something real about your own information.

CompanyWhat it doesWhat it sees
BranchPays youYour identity, tax and bank details
AirCallRuns our support lineYour phone number, call and message content, transcripts
TwilioSends verification codes, and connects you with a customer on job day without either of you seeing the other's numberPhone numbers and call records
Apple and GoogleDeliver push notificationsYour device token and the content of the notification
Google MapsDisplays maps and turns addresses into coordinatesAddresses and coordinates being displayed
YouTubePlays the technique videos inside the appYour device information when a video plays

Every company above handles your information under a contract that allows it to be used only to provide that service to us, never for their own purposes, and that requires them to protect your information to the same standard this notice describes. If you ask, we will tell you the current list of the providers behind the paragraph above.

We also share information when the law requires it, to investigate fraud or a safety problem, or as part of a sale of the business.

11. What we do not do

Because these questions come up:

12. How long we keep information

We keep your account and your work record for as long as your account exists. After that, we keep only what we are required to keep.

RecordHow long
Payment, payout and tax records, including 1099 reportingAs long as tax and accounting rules require
Records tied to an open dispute, damage claim or legal matterUntil the matter is resolved, and then as long as the law requires
Job history that payment records depend onAs long as the payment records it supports
Everything elseDeleted when you close your account, or when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for

13. Your choices and your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete your information. Deletion is subject only to the records in the table above, which we are required to keep.

Deleting your account. You can delete your account from inside the app, in Settings under Account, and you can also request it at movingmuscle.com/account-deletion without opening the app.

Deleting removes your name, photo, email address, phone number, home address, equipment and its photos, your party and invites, your no-matching list, and the notifications set up for your devices. Your sign-in is destroyed, so the account cannot be reached again.

What stays is what the table above requires us to keep, plus the messages on jobs you worked. Those are part of the record of a job other people also worked, and of any dispute about it, so they stay with the job. They no longer carry your name.

Changing your mind. You can change your profile, availability, equipment, matching preferences and notification settings in the app at any time. You can withdraw location, camera, photo library or notification permission in your device settings, and you can stop job texts by replying STOP.

Write to admin@getmovingmuscle.com and we will answer within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, especially on a deletion request.

Depending on where you live, state law may give you further rights. Ask us and we will honour them.

14. How we protect information

Access to your record inside our operations tools is limited by role, and our team signs in with a one-time code sent to a work email address rather than a password. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Job photographs are served through links that expire.

No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

15. Age

You must be at least 18 years old to work through Moving Muscle. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

16. Changes to this notice

If we change this notice in a way that matters to you, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
